Slight Issues

Hello Members,

I feel it a duty of mine to let the members of this forum know of some problems I am having with my brand.

The past week named has been functioning wrong as I didn't bind the two IP's I set for nameservers to the server itself. An error that I myself take responsibility for. It seems just as things were starting to go great and the network was building (hardware wise, not client wise) a problem happens.

Since I had no current clients on the server (aside from someone who ordered before this mishap who abused the server to send spam mail messages) I am having my provider install a fresh operating system and the DirectAdmin control panel. The server will be fully functional tomorrow afternoon and I hope this is the last of the problems. I am going to be going into a one month test. I have many domains in personal use that will be added to the server (and deleted after test) and if everything runs smoothely for that month I will open the shared/reseller packages again.

However, the IRC server has been fully functional since early Feb. and while I won't accept orders from clients looking for shared/reseller/or VPS packages until I can guarantee the uptime that I guarantee. I will continue to keep the IRC/Shell packages up and "orderable"

I found it my duty to let everyone know what is going on and to let them also know that the problems are being worked on now and I hope my honesty doesn't effect the way people look at the brand Host Phenom. I don't have anyone to apologize to as I didn't have clients but I can assure that the shared/reseller products won't be sold until the entire network is fully functional.

As a previous buyer of web hosting I know how bad it is to get a host and while I'm keeping my end of the bargain (paying the host) they aren't keeping their's. I do not want and will not let this happen to any client of mine.

I know this isn't a shame to anyone else but it is to me. A slight easily fixable problem has created issues. Lesson learned. But through this thread I am going to keep people updated on the network status. <<snipped>>

Regards,
